Do it! Review it!

Do it! Review it! is a music development session for practitioners, vocal leaders & parent leaders working in early years’ settings. Also suitable for people providing music for young children in other contexts.

The CPD session is part of Sing and Play, a 20,000 Voices early years and family music project funded by Youth Music and in partnership with Sure Start West Northumberland. It is also supported by Music Leader North East.

Thursday 27 October, 10.00 am – 3.00 pm
Leaders: Dr Susan Young and Margaret Watchorn
Venue: Ponteland Children’s Centre

This workshop will combine practical music making with thinking and talking in more depth about the processes of reflecting on and evaluating what we do.   

Fees for the session are £24 for members of MusicLeader, or £48 for non-members. Membership of MusicLeader is free – click here to find our more or register. The fee includes refreshments and a light lunch.

Dr Susan Young is senior lecturer in the graduate school of education at University of Exeter. Her research interests include early childhood, music education. Susan will share her knowledge and experience of project and personal evaluation methods.  You can find out more about her here

Margaret Watchorn
, education consultant and practising musician, will introduce and model a variety of musical activity. This will be largely singing based but also use a range of games, movement and materials.
