Amble Sings - Singing Days

The Come & Sing! on 17th April is an informal, relaxed introduction to singing in a group. No experience is necessary, but the day is suitable for singers of all abilities. All the songs will be taught by ear, but printed music may be used occasionally. There will be a wide range of music to sing from the north east, and from further afield. Styles will range from gospel to traditional, and from calm to energetic.  There will also be tips on breathing and voice production.

The day will be led by Anne Suggate - Song Manager for 20,000 Voices, and Flora Peden Smith, who will also lead the regular sessions in May and June.  Anne currently leads three community choirs in Morpeth, Rothbury and Alnwick, and herself sings with Rock Festival Choir and Cappella Novocastriensis.

The Midsummer Sing will celebrate the end of this phase of our Amble project, and again is suitable for all singers.  Anne Suggate and Flora Peden Smith will be joined by guest leader Eleanor Mooney - bringing an even wider range of songs and styles to the day.
