Off to Sunny Spain – a Singing Saturday

Posted on: May 1st, 2012

with Ed Aldcroft

Saturday 18 August, 2.00 – 4.30 pm
St Mary’s Church Hall, Ponteland

Ed Aldcroft is visiting from Barcelona and is keen to show off his new Spanish repertoire!  Learn folk songs from Spain, some easy accessible Spanish classical, a bit of pop and also one or two lovely Catalan rounds.  Ed is an engaging teacher, and knows how to make learning straightforward, while encouraging the best singing sound possible.

Fees: £14/ £12 concessions
Special Offer: Book for this workshop and “Showstoppers” at the discounted price of £24 / £20

Forget the weekend chores and come and enjoy a good sing at one of our regular Singing Saturday workshops.  The sessions are relaxed, informal and fun.  Each workshop is a one-off and complete in itself – the perfect opportunity to try out a new style, or just enjoy a sociable sing.

Ed Aldcroft returns from Barcelona to his old stamping ground in the north east ready to run some enjoyable, stimulating workshops as part of our Singing Saturdays series.  Ed was formerly manager of the Silver Programme at The Sage Gateshead, and has directed several community choirs.

Singing Saturdays happen at approximately monthly intervals – look out for You Can Sing Too! and Merrie Medieval in July, Showstoppers in August, Toe Tappers in September and Cool Classics II in October.
